Day 1 The Flight there...

Talking with my friend Alex of Phantomnetwork.com fame, I enjoy flying and I'm a huge Flight Simulator fan, so on this trip I thought I had lucked out by taking a
De Havilland Dash from Bradley to JFK in NYC.  And for the most part I did, but Pumpkin was none too pleased about the prospect of flying on it, and even then, the seats we had were of  no help for the situation.  So, no pics on that leg.  But I will say that I did like it for the most part when I could see anything.  Don't sit towards the back on those, go towards the front if possible otherwise, all you can do is look down and not outwards.  Live and learn....

Anyhoo, let's start things off with some pics around JFK from our "SONG/Delta Boeing 757":

So after flying over the Atlantic for a few hours, we are told that we're about to land, and then ...SUDDENLY!

San Juan  My first thought was:  HOLY S*&T!!! It's F*&%$#G Beautiful!!! This is INCREDIBLE!!!
(Gotta at least TRY to keep the site PG-13)

It was a site to behold.  No Lie!  The Golden Beaches and all the lush, green foliage and the clear blue ocean all around it was amazing.  Almost like Bermuda.

Here's some more views before we set to terria firma:

We then got our rental, a Toyota Yaris, it's no MINI, but it suited out purposes and was quite easy to drive. More on driving in PR later, but we then got to Pumpkin's Mom's house, and she was a delight. Fantastic hostess and she even had our lunch ready and waiting for us. Some views from her house in the town of GURABO, just south of San Juan. Click HERE to go to Google Maps to see where we were.

That's all for Day 1. I tried to take some night pics, alas, to no avail. Seems as though I have to improve my "Night Time Picture Skill Set" at a later date.
