Hunter's Hawks's Nest Run

Over the past few years since I bought "PEARL" I've been to many places and have met some great people. As a result, I was invited to go on a MINI run with members of NEMINI, as I haven't seen them since I've moved to Virginia. Even though I have found a new group of MINI people in HRC MINI down in Virginia, I still stay in contact with many of the NEMINI people, and was invited to go on a run to "Hunter's Hawks Nest Run" in upstate New York.

Yup... Upstate New York...

And I live in Lynchburg, VA.

(You have to have a MINI to understand)

But this time, I took a new approach to a road trip. Most of the time I'm driving alone, and trying to take pictures while whipping the MINI around corners isn't the best idea, so I decided to be a co pilot. I was invited to come up for the run, and I was graced with the good fortune to stay with friends for the weekend...

And they offered to cart me around so I could take pictures...

Show up, go for a ride in a slick MINI Clubman, and just take pictures?

Like I'd say "NO" to that!

GIDDY UP!

It was on... like Donkey Kong!

So I left work (late of course) at 7:00 pm, rolled up there at 2:30 am on Friday, and we were off on the weekend adventure later on Friday. Got to go to a diner (For whatever reason, I can't find a place that serves breakfast in the afternoon down here), saw Marist College in Poughkeepsie New York, and got see all the sites that I miss (yeah right) from the Northeast (Heavey traffic, huge potholes, Toll Boths and traffic circles; also known as "Rotaries")

NOTE: Some of the pics are from my ride home back to VA as well.

And I'd be a "bad friend" if I didn't give props to "BAD MINI"; As I've stated before, good friends are rare indeed, and I thank you for your hospitality!

(Chaos the "Fire Hazard" too!)

Eonugh of my diatribe, on to the pics!
