PUMPKIN and PACO GO TO PUERTO RICO!!
So during one of our many
afternoon lunches together, Ileana (Pumpkin) asked me (Paco)
about some of the places I've been, and the topic of Puerto Rico, where
she is from, came up.
The conversation more or less went like this:
ME: "...No, I haven't been there."
PUMPKIN: "Why not?"
ME: "Well, for starters, I speak like NO spanish. I'm from New York (More on that on another page) and I know more Yiddish than I do spanish, so how would I talk to people outside from pointing at things??? Besides, I haven't has any reason to go for the most part."
PUMPKIN: "Go with me and I'll translate if I need to, and you can stay with me and meet my mom and family. It will be an adventure!"
ME: "Can I just take pictures and you drive?"
PUMPKIN: "Sure!"
ME: "OK, when do we leave?"
PUMPKIN: "We'll go the weekend of my Birthday, in May."
ME: "OK"
And that was that. Plans were made, tickets were bought and we were off!
